Livingston Critical Engineering is a specialist M&E division within Livingston Building Services. We provide specialist advice, services, and technical solutions to ensure our clients operations continue without interruption.

From initial consultation to full turnkey solutions, we will partner with clients to understand their needs, identify any risks associated and then plan a robust program to meet that need including future-proofing their critical infrastructure. Our key role is to make sure the systems our clients rely on today, will be resilient tomorrow – always ready, always robust and always compliant for the years ahead.

Our Approach

We work closely with our clients to understand how their business operates. By developing a deep understanding of processes and the condition of all in-house equipment, we are able to offer specialist advice and guidance on how to optimise systems to truly benefit their business. In addition, being part of Livingston Building Services, enables us to benefit from pulling in skilled resources as and when required to suit project needs, upscaling when required, developing sound strategies and ideas based on initial findings. Our key goal is to optimise performance in every way possible, so return on investment is realised quickly whilst ensuring the safeguarding of the business.

3. Test

Test operational strength, provide documentation, and provisional equipment and report

Our critical engineering specialists will execute comprehensive resilience and operational integrity tests across all systems. This includes controlled load testing, redundancy validation, and performance benchmarking under simulated fault conditions. To support these procedures, we deploy essential infrastructure such as load banks, generators, fuel systems, UPS units, power distribution frameworks, cabling, and temporary energy solutions tailored to the testing environment. Every test is meticulously documented with full traceability, ensuring compliance with safety standards and providing actionable insights for system optimisation.

Services

Your business will change – our commitment won’t

Solutions that are suitable today, won’t necessarily be as effective in the times ahead for our clients. Once improvements are identified and have been made, we will continually evaluate and assess the implemented solutions and processes, to ensure initial set up and each project specific requirement is running smoothly and correctly. As a business grows and evolves, we can help our clients’ explore opportunities to improve resilience, increase efficiencies and generally help to make things better.

We offer specialist support through the life cycle of a project, with ‘in-house’ experts highly experienced in the following areas:
